In his 82nd year, passed away suddenly and peacefully, on December 26, 2022.
He was looking forward to a weather delayed Christmas lunch when his heart gave way.
Bill had a love of adventure and travel, enjoying 98 cruises, from the Arctic to Antarctic, Europe and Asia with only one regret, never setting foot in Australia.
His curiosity of cultures, plus an easy wit, was demonstrated through his love of people, but he could not suffer fools.
Bill is best known as a teacher who loved his lifetime job, pupils and staff, spending the last 12 years as a school Principal. Bill is preceded by his traveling and life partner Wilma Dowling. His final ship has sailed to Valhalla.
He leaves behind uncles Ian (Bridget) Marwick, Don (Betty) Marwick, and a close family of cousins.
As per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will reflect weather conditions.
If you wish, do a good deed for someone less fortunate today!
