Mama, I miss you so much. I hope you are happy and free from all the limitations Alzheimers brought to you. In my mind, you have reverted back to the lively mother who was a force and who made me who I am today. We speak of you often...and even laugh. Grazie per tutto mamma. Salutami pappa e tutti gl'altri. I love you!

Mama, I miss you. I can't believe it's only been a month. I hope you are reunited with Dad, Genza and everyone you love who went before you. I especially hope you are laughing again. I hear your laugh so vividly in my head even though I haven't heard it in years. I hope I keep hearing it always.

Thank you for everything, Mama. Thank you most for all you did for my boys and for how selflessly you doted on them. Your impact on them is endless. Please know I so wish life had brought you down a different path and that we could have made more happy memories together. I'm grateful for the years I had with you, but selfishly I wish we'd made more memories and that they'd been more recent.

I will love and miss you forever. Mi manchi Mama.
