ADRIAAN VAN WEST 1986 - 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce, on September 15, 2015, our beloved Adriaan's death after years of struggling with his emotional well being. He was the cherished son of Donna and John, loving brother of Madison (Jason) and dear grandson of John and Rosemary Laevens. Adriaan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his uncles, aunts and cousins in Canada and Australia as well as family in Holland and England. We loved him very much and grieve deeply for him. We will treasure all of the good memories of Adriaan, including him playing cards with his dad, snowboarding with his sister, visits as a family with his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins at the Lake of the Woods and his passion for computer programming. Family and friends will be received at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton" Chapel (289 Main Street North) on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. A Celebration of Adriaan's life will commence at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Adriaan to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) would be appreciated by the family.
