Aino LAANEMETS Obituary

LAANEMETS, Aino (nee Kittask) - 1921 - 2014 Born in Valga, Estonia, wife of Endel Laanemets, mother to Helve, Kalju (Linda) and Lia. Passed peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto. Predeceased by her husband (Endel) and son (Kalju). Moved to Sweden from Estonia due to World War II and then on to Canada in 1951. Loving grandmother to Juli (Jamie) plus great-granddaughter Gia of California, Kristian (Liz), Paul and Clayo. The family wishes to thank her loyal and caring nurses and caregivers Lourdes, Tsering, Joy and Llamo, who have worked for Aino and family for years. As well, many thanks for Pastor at St. Joe's for Prayer Service on Monday, her various doctors and nurses over the years, plus everyone at Lakeside Long Term Care for their wonderful support and help over the years. Aino was a strong, intellectual, compassionate, generous, loving person who will be greatly missed by all, plus everyone whom she was involved with over the years for supporting the Estonian community. Service at Murray Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mt. Pleasant Road, Toronto, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, followed by Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
