ALBERT MacDIARMID Obituary

ALBERT (BERT) MacDIARMID Passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 88 years of age. Predeceased by his wife Jean MacDiarmid (nee Curran) after 54 years of marriage. Bert graduated from University of Toronto Engineering Physics in 1952 and was a professional Engineer who worked for Bell Canada for 32 years. Bert is remembered for his love of music, travel and the outdoors. In his retirement he spent many years entertaining in hospitals and seniors homes around Toronto and area with his wife and friends. He will be missed by his children Steve, Bill (Zony), Anne Hill (Tom) and Don (Sharon) and his grandchildren Michael (Katie), Bryan (Adam), Derek, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Ryan, Chanel and Renee along with many friends and relatives. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 in the Ogden Chapel at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at 1 p.m. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Bert was always a kind, gentleman. I always loved visiting with them at family gatherings and my most memorable times was when we spent our holidays in Pierre-Fonds. I will always cherish those memories.
