To the entire Pitkin family, It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Alex. He was an outstanding individual who gave generously of his time to his family and community. His legacy is the wonderful family he has left behind. He was justifiably proud of his children, many of whom we had the pleasure of teaching. Our sincere condolences to all. Fondly, Doug and Marg Hill

We've never forgotten the time dad lost his job and your dad gave him work to help us get through. That's the kind of neighbour he was. He cared about the town and he cared about the people and even though we've been away for many years now, those memories have stayed with us. Our thoughts are with you.

Ed, we understand the sadness and grief you must be experiencing. Your father's obituary describes a man of high character and deep caring for family and community, so he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Our sympathies to you and Penny and family.

You are now at peace Dad. You endured so much in your life time and know that you never said no to any of your children's life requests be it in time given or whateverelse could be done to help when we were stuck. You had a bigger heart than all of us put together. I will miss you oh so much and I can only hope to be half the man you were. Your loving son, Doug.
