ALFRED LESSER Obituary

LESSER, ALFRED Passed away peacefully, on April 15, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Jo-Anne Durst-Lesser. Alfred was predeceased by his first wife, Roberta, and son, Warren. Loving father of Dr. Shari Lesser (Brian) and Ryan Lesser (Jackie), and father-in-law of Michelle Alston Lesser. Cherished Grandpa- guy of Janine (Phil), Diana (Joshua), Erica, Nathan and Jordyn, and great-grandpa- guy of Claire. Alfred was a navigator for the Air Force, RCAF No. 5911. He was dedicated to his career as a Records Manager for the Provincial Government, and a committed member of Calvary Baptist Church. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Refuge Youth Outreach Centre, Oshawa. Online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.ca

My heart goes out to Al's family.
He was my boss for a little while at Ont. Gov't. But mostly I remember him as the guy I commuted with. Apparently, he was a hot-rodder in his youth. His driving style was skillful and adventurous. (White knuckles still thinking about some trips!)
You were a joyful guy dear Al.

I could always count on seeing Big Al at every Sinclair Music Concert...he was so proud of his family. He will be missed, but his gentle humour will be remembered.
