Allan Macdonald Obituary

MACDONALD, Allan Stewart - June 30, 1929 - January 25, 2009 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband and best friend to Ruth (nee Wilson) for over 58 years. Loving father to Rick (Donna), Debbie and Jeff (Kerry). Cherished grandpa to Kyle, Gavin, Andrew and Matthew. Dear brother to Jean, Helen, Evan and Margaret. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home ''Oakville Chapel'', 109 Reynolds St., Oakville (905-844-3221), on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. Private family gathering will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sunnybrook Hospital or the OSPCA would be appreciated by the family. Email condolences may be sent to [email protected].

Lots of wonderful memories come to mind! Remembering how Allan let Debbie and I "work at the Store" when we were 15. And of Allan's cute sportscar that we so desperately wanted to sit in and listen to the beach boys (Debbie and I went in Ruth's car instead!)
Allan being quiet natured never fussed with my ever presence at the house, or listening to our crazy teenage music and making french toast in the kitchen! I will always remember how I was welcomed in his home. He will be missed.
