There are no words that can make this loss go away. Allen was a good person and a great Dad to Greg. This will be so difficult for Greg, but who Al was, will always carry on in his son; his love of music, computers and just life. Thank you Allen for all you have given. Our sincerest thoughts are with the Beard family.

My deepest sympathies to Allen's family. I worked closely with Allen and loved every moment of it. He was such an amazing guy and I so admired him, his dedication and his intelligence.

I will truly miss you, Allen and am sad that I was not able to say goodbye and thank you.

Bless you all.

To the Beard family, please accept my condolences for your loss. Al and I worked on the EPS project at CDS back in 1997/98 and I cherished the moments we spent together resolving production issues. I admired his professionalism and unrelenting, meticulous attitude in pursuit of the root cause of problems. We talked on the phone last fall and he did mention about his health but gave me no hint of its seriousness post-op. I can't fathom that it'd have been our last conversation. May peace be with you forever, bud.

To Allen's family, you have my deepest sympathy. I feel privileged to have worked with Allen for a number of years and one could not have asked for a better colleague. He was not only capable and diligent, but also supportive and always had a positive outlook.
