Silent Tears:
To everyone that was enriched by Amandas short Life. Even if her time was short it was rich. She gave us so much. May we all find comfort in the memories of her bright and shinning personality.I know Amanda will be with me in spirt forever. Even if we were just friends for a short 5 years we leaned on eachother so often. I will miss all our texts and calls. Love you Babu

Back in early December, I was suppose to meet Amanda while she was at TGH. Due to an unfortunate twist of fate, we never got the chance. Her passing has affected me and knowing I'll never get to befriend such an amazing person as she was, has truly saddened my being. I wrote this poem about missing that opportunity.
Today, I was able to pay my respects to her and her family at Eden United and at the Meadowvale Cemetary.
Seeing all the people who's lives she brightened and meeting her fiancee and family showed me what a great person she was, and how her memories will live on forever, for as to live on in the hearts and minds of loved ones is to never die.
To Nathan, Karen and the rest of her family my deepest condolences.

That day I wish I had stayed, I wish I had done a lot of things. ...
I tried to make sense of what had happened. Was communicating with me more.... complicated?.... How?
I knew at that moment, that it was not fair. Life is unfair.
Maybe that's how it had to be.
Together in a kind of fragile alliance,
some things are deeper than time and distance.
How a simple misunderstanding becomes; "I’m sorry you had to go through this." "I’m sorry."
There are things in a life that matter, things in a past which can't be denied.
And now... there was nothing that could change them.
As strangers, our dreams are already somewhere else.
The same fears, the same loneliness, deserve a special respect.
I never got to see you smile, I didn't get to hear your voice.
Now, I wish I had stayed. It should have been my choice.
Now my disappointment and the grief, i close my eyes and curse the darkness.
Knowing nothing is mine, except my heart and my fears.
For a stranger, I'm shedding tears.

Amanda was an amazing baby sitter and friend to me. Amanda was like an older sister too and she always put a smile on my face. I remember her sitting on the foot of my bed making me laugh until I fell asleep. We will all have a special place for her in our hearts. My deepest condolences to Karen, Ossie, Kristopher, Kyosha and family.

I was shocked to hear the news from Kristopher`s teacher today. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Amanda. I would like to extend my most heartfelt condolences to Ossie and Karen, Matthew, Kyosha and Kristopher and all of her loved ones. May God wrap His loving arms around you all and comfort your hearts.
