Dear Lisa, Megan, Fred,Erik, Don, Carolyn,Joyce and Quentin,

I have lived this in parallel time with you knowing this time would come.Inevitably.
In time all comes and goes and love takes us there.

I wish to extend to each of you my heartfelt sympathy and sorrow at Amy's long goodbye. She was a warm, loving and brave soul whose light will be carried on by all those who knew and loved her well.

I have thought of her frequently over this last year and of the immense difficulties she faced and that were also borne by you her family and friends.

I wish you all the comfort and solace of a beautiful family who have done so much to brighten this world.

With compassion.

Amy was my friend and colleague at Merriam School of Music. We had a lot of fun and good talks over the years. She had a real lust for life and keen insight into life itself. I greatly enjoyed our laughs and antics together over the ridiculousness of things all the while knowing how deep and sensitive she was. Gonna miss ya bigtime buddy. To Don and Carolyn - we know how you feel, our hearts are broken too.

Dear Don and Carolyn,

Our deepest sympathies on your loss. We met Amy at Merriam many years ago and she was so enthusiastic and helpful with her suggestions regarding music lessons for my son who has a minor neuro-motor challenge. She shared her story with Ryan and I and convinced him that drums would be "his thing". They indeed are and he continues his lessons there each week.

It was our pleasure to have met Amy and been touched by her magic!

Dear Don and family, I got to know Amy through the Mississauga Arts Council and felt her warm, gracious personality. I was shocked to learn of her malady, and even more greatly shocked to learn of her passing. People of her calibre are never easy to find. My deepest condolence to you and your beloved ones.

Amy was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her dry wit, her perseverence and honesty, her fiestiness and love of life were irrepressible. She taught us all so much about life, friendship and laughter. She will be truly missed.

Dear Don and Carolyn,

We are very sorry for your loss.

We met Amy many years ago, while she worked at Merriam Music School and my two children attended music classes on-site. Amy was always very helpful, very accommodating and so passionate about her love for music and the school.

She has touched our lives over the years with her great strength, love and humour and is an inspiration to us all.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sincerely,
