ANDREW ROTENBERG Obituary

ROTENBERG, ANDREW PAUL It is with great sadness that we announce Andrew Paul Rotenberg's passing on October 22, 2021. Son of Manie (deceased) and Joan Rotenberg, Andrew lost his brief battle to cancer with his loved ones by his side. He is survived by his wife Diana Velez, his children Cristine (Ben) and Jennifer (Matt), and his brothers Robert (Sandra) and Steve (Larissa). Andrew will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues and his golf buddies. His light-hearted and humorous spirit will forever be remembered. There will be no service for Andrew, but donations can be made in his name at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, where you can choose to direct your donation to the Regional Cancer Program.

I met Andy years ago when he started dating a friend of mine Heather Campbell and we stayed friends over the years until I moved abroad. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding! When I returned after a long period our friendship re-established itself but to be honest with little kids at the time and the turmoil of life I hadn't seen Andy in 20 years. Andy was a great joker and so easy-going! He was a very sweet man and he'll be deeply missed I'm sure by family and friends. I'm trying to get a hold of Heather so if Cristine or Jen could let me know ho to contact her that would be great...you can also pass on my email [email protected] - thank you.

My heartfelt condolences to Andy's family and friends. We were childhood friends and share a birthday. Andy had a twinkle in his eye revealing his great sense of humor even as a young boy. I have many happy memories from our childhood at Harrison Rd. PS through our teens at YMCI. I will raise a glass to him tonight.
