KIRBY, MED, RP, ANGELA MARY April 15, 2022 With beams of light shining in prayer from friends and family, Angie's spirit has taken flight on the wings of angels to be embraced in heaven by predeceased family members, Joan and Rip Kirby, Jon Kirby, Marnie and Bob Gilmore, Mary Polito, Ruth Agnew and Joyce Donovan. Within our family her loss is shared among her husband, John Donovan; son, Lucas and Miranda, Chris Kirby, Cathy Kirby -Tapp and husband, Dan; nephews Kevin and David; and nieces Mallory and Caroline; Uncle Joe and Andrea; cousins Anna, Joey and Kristin, and Brendon Polito, Teresa Agnew and Pat Wymes, Mary-Louise, Steven Agnew and Carol Consell, Denise and John Sellers, David and Jen Gilmore, John Gilmore, Judy Marshall and Tom, and Denise Donovan. Angie lit up rooms with her smile, compassion, and singing voice. Whether she was singing on centre stage or tucked aside in conversation with longtime friends - she had the ability to touch people with laughter and love as a best friend and confidant. In a thirty year career in addictions and mental health Angie served her community by providing counsel and guidance to people in need. As Client Care Manager at Community Treatment Services Mental Health and Pinewood Centre Program of Lakeridge Health, Angie worked tirelessly throughout Durham Region to deliver programs and shepherd a team of professionals dedicated to the welfare of residents in our community. She was so proud of the individual success of her fellow staff and their overall accomplishments. We also know of so many who share the family's loss at this time. In retirement, Angie transitioned into private practice with a renewed vitality to work directly with those navigating life's issues in a challenging time. We, her family, learned to share Angie's passion with others and together we celebrate her beautiful life, her ability to meaningfully touch so many others in our community, as an advocate, a change maker, baseball Mom, sister, cousin, aunt, a great friend, and Lumina Lady. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at St. Bernadettes Church, 21 Bayly St. East, Ajax at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Groveside Cemetery. Rest in peace you most beautiful and loving person. "… do you remember when we used to sing?"
