Ann REDEGELD Obituary

REDEGELD, Ann (nee Kluiters) - June 5, 1933 - January 22, 2014 Died peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Predeceased by her husband Tom in 1997. Also predeceased by her special friend Bill van der Heyden in 2013. Loving mother of Diana, Elizabeth, Audrey (Marcello), John (Jana) and Irene (Allison). Proud grandmother of Victoria, Patrick, Anthony, Laura and Ella. Step- grandmother to Gordon and Brian Allen. Greatly missed by Liz and Leo Rotteveel of Colborne, and Mickey and Dick Van Wetten of Ridgetown, Ontario. Also missed by her siblings Corry, Ad (Ank) and predeceased by her brother Nico (Anneke) of The Netherlands. Also missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands. Faith was a foundation within Ann's life and in 2013 she celebrated her 50th anniversary as a member of the Catholic Women's League. In addition to the CWL, Ann was a committed volunteer for many years with local organizations such as the Second Helping thrift store and the school breakfast program. She was also an avid early morning walker, a quilter and a very enthusiastic card player. Ann's faith was of great comfort to her during her recent cancer diagnosis and we thank Father David West for his support of both her and the family. Heartfelt thanks to Ann's many friends and neighbours whose calls, visits and prayers meant so very much to her and her family. We would also like to thank the palliative care staff at Northumberland Hills for their care and compassion. Friends may call at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 11 King Street West, Colborne, on Friday, January 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Grafton. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Northumberland Hills Hospital or The Friends of Presqu'ile Provincial Park would be appreciated. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com
