IRVINE, Anne 1929 - 2020 We are saddened to announce, Anne Irvine, 91, passed away Saturday December 19, 2020, in Unionville, ON. Anne is survived by her loving children Carrie, Craig and Brad, son-in-law Tim, daughters-in-law Amy and Amy, grandchildren Connor, Reid, Olivia, Easton, and Cade. Anne Grabowski was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada as a young child. The Grabowski family settled in the west end of Toronto and helped to establish a thriving Polish community there. Under the loving guidance of parents Walter and Cecilia, Anne, along with sister Mary and brothers Peter and Victor, grew up in a warm home embracing their new country, while always celebrating their Polish heritage. Shortly after Anne joined the workforce, she met Harold, the love of her life. They were soon married and started their amazing journey together. What followed was three children, a new business, a cottage, and the best of times. Anne was a loving wife and partner, caring mother, as well as a generous sister and friend. She became a grandmother and "Babcia" who adored her five grandchildren. She was excited for any opportunity to be part of the action. Anne played competitive badminton for 15 years, was always up for a few runs on the slopes, a day on the golf course, a lively dinner, or a sunset boat cruise – and enjoyed dressing for the occasion. She loved music, dancing, and a solid afternoon of shopping. Early on, winters were spent skiing at the family chalet in Huntsville. Later she and Hal took to travelling to warmer climates to avoid the cold, and especially enjoyed their time in Bradenton, Florida. However, the cornerstone of their lifestyle was their cottage in Muskoka. It was where family gathered, amazing friendships developed, and a lifetime of memories were made. During their marriage of 60 years, Hal and Anne worked hard to build a business and raise a family, but always maintained a healthy perspective. They knew what made them happy, and happiness was their life's compass. We are heartbroken over the loss but are comforted by the fact she had a wonderful life filled with much love, success, and happiness. We would like to thank the caring staff at Sunrise of Unionville. In keeping with Anne's wishes there will not be a visitation or funeral services. There will be a private family memorial in the spring. Online memories or condolences can be shared at
