Arnold STOCKS Obituary

STOCKS, Arnold Hugh June 5, 1927 - November 10, 2018 It is with sadness that the family of Arnie announces his passing on November 10, 2018, at the Dorothy Ley Hospice. Beloved son of the late John and Lillian Stocks, dear husband of Patricia (Sparkes), loving pops of Steven and Donalda, special grandpa of Kyle, Chris and Caroline and great-grandpa of Skylar. Loving brother of Vivian (deceased), Jay (deceased) and Glenna Joan and uncle to their respective families. Cousin of Beverly and family, USA. Friend to many including the PARKDALE Collegiate old boys and the Argonaut Alumni. The highlight of his life was to play with the Toronto Argonauts as No. 65, in the 1950 championship "Mud Bowl" game. He was a loyal employee of the Sun Oil Company for 34 years, better known as "Mr. Production". A huge THANK YOU goes out to the entire Care Team and Volunteers at the Dorothy Ley Hospice. Special hugs to Monika, Robert/Ron and Gifty/Frosty. You are the best. A Celebration of Arnold's Life will be held on Saturday, November 24th, 2 p.m., at St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Road. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, 220 Sherway Dr., Etobicoke, ON. www.dlhospice.org/ memorial-giving

McCormick playground set the stage for our meeting. wonderful couple, Arnie/Pat. laughs, gatherings, sports kept us together for many years. loved his sense of humour and always thoughtfulness during our times together. found out just now re. his passing and we both regret not being there to celebrate his life.
