For all the times your smile lit up a room and your wise words warmed my heart, I give thanks. Uncle Art, I will miss you and so will many other people who love you dearly. The faith you held throughout your life will surely give strength to everyone that knew you. Love to Uncle Gene and to all family and friends, near and far, who will never forget how much joy you brought to their lives.

Eugene, please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your dear brother and our Brother Knight Art. He was a valued charter member of our council at St. Rose of Lima in its early days. I will always remember our conversations on the Faith and how our opinions were similar. He, like myself, was a fan of EWTN and Mother Angelica and we always had a few laughs comparing notes on the programs. I'll never forget his gentle and soft-spoken demeanor. On behalf of my family and St. Rose of Lima K of C council, be assured of our prayers for Art and for your family. God Bless.

Eugene, I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved brother Arthur. I know how much he meant to both you and to the rest of the family. Terribly disappointed I couldn't attend the funeral owing to sudden medical issues of my own that placed me in hospital. I did however say a Rosary for Art at exactly 10 am Friday morning. I'm sure he was, and is looking down at all of us wondering what all the fuss was about. Take care Eugene. Life goes on. We must gather our strengths and thank God for the time he gave Art to us as a friend, brother, family member, uncle and your best friend. What a treasure you had for so many years Genie. Look back with pride and thankfullness for all the memories you are left with. Take care of yourself. Call if you need a shoulder or support. We share the sadness of a lost family member far too many times. Regards to all your family members who also share your loss.

Uncle Art gave me these on a retreat in 1996 to remember it, a brief encounter that helped me so much. A gentle soul and a gentle man. I reached out to him and he showed me love, he embraced and encouraged me when I felt alone. Although our meetings were brief you taught me so much. My prayers go out to all that are close to him, I will always remember you, your kindness and conviction.

Arturo,
Your earthly home has been lost, but an eternal habitation has been prepared for you in paradise. Your life has not been taken away but only changed. The hope of the resurrection shines on us so that the fear of our certain death is destroyed.Always in my heart-Your brother Sam.
