Audrey MARSHALL Obituary

MARSHALL, Audrey Emily (nee Scales) - Audie/Mom/Sis/Gramma/Great- Gramma closed the final chapter in her book of life on Saturday, December 8, 2012 age 89 years. Forever the one true love for 69 years of husband Jack. Mother of Patricia Bangay (Garth), Janice Henty (Scott Ferguson), and Lesley Willox (Robert). Grandmother of Alyson (Gilles), Meghan, Meredith, Jessica (Chris), Jeremy (Sarah), Liam and Sarah. Great- Grandmother of Isabelle, Oliver, Olan, Carys, Peter, Matthew and Benjamin. Sister of Lawrence Scales (Loreen) and the late Roy Scales (Audrey). Special Aunt of Catherine Bennett, and of Ruth, Anne and David. Audrey was a fun loving and loyal woman who treasured her family, a good laugh, books, bridge, gardening, swimming, her pets (especially Gigi), and cottage life. Thanks to the staff at Sunrise Richmond Hill and Valleyview Residence. Feisty, stubborn and proud, Audrey would not have chosen her final years to be spent living with dementia, so although she loved flowers, please honour her with donations to the Alzheimer Society that future generations may be spared this disease. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Anglican Church (1087 Lillian Street). Interment to follow at York Cemetery. Condolences www.rskane.ca

I have so many great memories of Audrey. I was lucky enough to have her as my sister-in-law for so many years and to watch what a wonderful inspiration she was to her whole family. She will truly be remembered and missed.
