Avril OINAS Obituary

OINAS, Avril - Peacefully at Markham-Stouffville Hospital on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by her husband Lembit Oinas. Remembered by her loving children Andrea (Jean) Hurteau, Jennifer (Steve) Major and her grandchildren Hailey, Christian, Jessica and Luke. A Celebration of Avril's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the MCDougall and Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd., 416-267-4656, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Sorry to hear of Avril's passing. I worked with her in the mutual fund industry, where she was very well known and respected. I also remember her speaking fondly of her daughters - and also remember her great sense of humour. A truly amazing smart lady. My condolences to her family.
