BARB BROLLEY

BROLLEY, BARB (nee BALL) Barb passed away in Newmarket, on Saturday, August 21, 2021, after a short, well-fought battle with cancer, at the age of 80. Barb was laid to rest in Christ Church-Saint Judes Cemetery in Ivy, beside her husband Bruce. She was a loving mother and grandmother of Bruce (Margaret), Janice Zister (Jerry), and grandchildren Jez, Will, Sarah, and Brittany. Survived by her sisters Mary Yorke (Ron), and Evelyn Stewart. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Edith, brother John, and brother-in-law Bill Stewart. Barb will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Barb grew up on a farm in Alliston and spent many idyllic summers at Wasaga Beach. She later settled in Aurora, where she raised her family. She was proud of the 25 years she worked at Canada's Wonderland, watching it grow from its first day, and enjoyed sharing the park with her family and friends. Barb took pleasure in gardening and sharing her wonderful roses with many of her friends. She was a familiar site blowing snow in the winter, one of her favourite activities, often helping neighbours out with large snowfalls. Over the years, Barb enjoyed her frequent trips to see family out west and various parts of Ontario, and deeply missed this when travel restrictions curtailed these. She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and sharing their lives. Her independent spirit was with her until the end. The family would like to thank the staff at Margaret Bahen Hospice for their compassion and humour in her final illness. Memorial donations to the Margaret Bahen Hospice would be appreciated.
