The Power Family

Sister Barbara was our principal at Holy Cross School in Toronto. Four children in our family attended during her work there. We greatly respected her for her firm standards. One did not want to disappoint Sister Barbara! She could also show her "lighter" side, as she did when she joined-in at the skating rink nearby. Rest in peace Sister Barbara....Condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

I have very fond Memories of Sister Keane when I was a little girl at Holy Cross. I felt even closer to her when I was old enough to understand that she had MS, like my Mom, and even later when I attended Notre Dame High School in Toronto. My Most Sincere Condolences to her Family, and to the Sisters of Notre Dame. Rest in Peace, Sister Keane. You will always be remembered!

I will be forever grateful to Sister Barbara for hiring me back in 1969 and I was assigned to teach at her school, Holy Cross. Our staff was like a big family and I cherish many memories of the good times had with Sister Barbara. She coached the hockey team and I
assisted her. She really loved the game! This eventually led to the tournaments held at Maple Leaf Gardens each year. Fun times! May you rest in Peace Sister.
