Barry Gilliland Obituary
Passed away at Credit Valley Hospital, on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Jean. Much loved father of Kristine (Fernando) Ortisi, and Wendy (Wes) Root. Devoted grandpa of Kaitlin and Hayley, Nathan and Liam. Dear brother of Ronald, Donald, Thomas, and Heather. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Neweduk-Erin Mills" Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy.), on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. Donations in memory of Barry may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. I was saddened to hear of Barry's passing.
I worked with Barry at United Cooperatives of Ontario (UCO) many years ago as his secretary in the Products Division.
He was such a considerate, caring, funny and compassionate man.
He would remark on occasion how his secretary would be driving a Lexus and he was driving a pickup truck.
Years later he got to know my husband, Reginald Bradburn, for legal advice.
Our condolences go out to his family and wonderful friends at this most difficult time.
What a lovely man.
