CULTRERA, BASIL JOSEPH August 12, 1936 – November 12, 2021 Suddenly, on Friday, November 12, 2021, we lost our dearly beloved, Basil Joseph Cultrera. Basil was born in Toronto. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Ross Cultrera, and his sister, Kathleen Catalano. He will be forever missed by his wife of 47 years, Donna, his nephew, Marc Catalano, Sam, Jacob, Chelsey, his niece, Lisa Catalano, mother-in-law, Sheila Lamont, Heather and Thor Jepsen and their family, as well as many, many friends. Basil enjoyed life to the fullest, from his days with Seal Top Paving and Construction to his Formula Honda Dealership, where he shared his passion for cars, racing and his love of his 1969 Corvette. He even had the opportunity of meeting Mario Andretti and Paul Newman on his many trips. He had travelled the world to Mexico, Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, Newfoundland, British Columbia and more recently, golfing in Cape Breton. We wintered in Florida, where we enjoyed life in the company of our new friends. His cottage in Muskoka was his true love. From tinkering with his boats and golfing with his many friends, to telling tales of times gone by on Fenn's Point. We all love you, Basil. If desired, donations in memory of Basil may be made to the Salvation Army or the Ontario SPCA Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at

Well Baz, I miss you already ... your strength, support, and courage on the rugby pitch, and our laughs after the game. You´ll be in good hands up there with Bernie, Stafford, Eddie, and all the guys, putting together a great Beach side. I know you will fit right in. You´ll soon have a full 15. Happy trails old pal.

I worked for Basil for many years at Formula Honda. My deepest condolences to Donna and family. Charming, hardworking, compassionate, encouraging and successful are some of his many positive attributes I saw in him. Sorry we didn't get to connect in Florida Baz. Sleep well. You are missed.
