Bernard Hodgson Obituary

HODGSON, Bernard John - (Philosophy Professor Trent University) At his residence in Peterborough on Saturday, April 25, 2009 in his 64th year. Bernard, beloved husband of Christine Grabowski. Loving father of Matthew, Clare, and Nicholas. Beloved son of James Hodgson and the late Joan Johnson. Dear brother of Joseph and Winnifred and brother-in-law of Eugene and Irene. Bernard will be sadly missed by his extended family, Trent University and the sporting community with which he was actively involved, most notably the Friday night recreational old timers hockey and soccer leagues. Friends are invited to call at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME 'MEMORIAL CHAPEL', 539 George Street N., Peterborough, on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass in the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Luis Lapinid officiating. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall. In memory of Bernard, donations to the Bernard Hodgson Scholarship Fund "In Trust" would be appreciated by the family.

Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Hodgson I am quite certain that he was much loved and a great spirit as evident in his son, Matt. Sincerest comforting thoughts to you and your family at this time. May time lessen the pain but forever keep the memories alive.
