Bernard Phillips Obituary

BERNARD J. PHILLIPS Passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Jane Richards. Loving father to Tammy (Michael), Cindy (Mark) and Ginny (Nick). Caring 'Poppi' to Damon, Amanda, Kristen, Tyler, Gage, Latisha, Kaitlin and Nicholas. Brother to Shirley (Ron), Marlene (John), Darlene (Doug), Gordie and Lorraine. Predeceased by his first wife Virginia and his brother Johnny. Uncle 'B' will sadly be missed by his nephew John. Bernie will also be fondly remembered by many other family and friends. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-4711) on Tuesday, December 14th from 6-9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, December 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service will take place in the Chapel on Thursday, December 16th at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Whitby. Bernie, you were as wonderfully genuine as a Hank Williams or Patsy Cline song... and every bit as downhome-endearing. But what I will forever remember was your kindness, which knew no limits.

I've not only lost a terrific father-in-law, I've lost a good friend.
