BERNARD THOMAS SIMPSON Just a month after grandly celebrating his 88th birthday, Bud passed away peacefully at Maple Villa in Burlington on March 12, 2016. Loving father to Diana, Michael (Caroline), Gayle (Jeff), Mark (Susan) and Lynn. Dear grandfather to Jay, Christopher, Jeffrey, Kevin, Kirsten, Devyn, Channing, Cole and Tessa and great-grandfather to Aiden, Audrey, Adriana, Mya and Elijah. Born in Toronto, Bud was a true "people person", building a lifetime of good memories alongside his wife of 60 years Iva, who died in 2012. Special thanks to the staff and all his friends at Maple Villa, as well as Bud's many friends from church and in the community. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:30 p.m. Mass will be at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 2261 Parkway Dr., Burlington, on Wednesday, March 16th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB would be appreciated. www.smithsfh.com
