He used to do a yogi Bear quote to get us to smile for his pics. One of his shots was front page in the Toronto star. It was Loblaws burning down at 6 points plaza.

Mary-Kae, as my family and I sat tonight about all the great memories we have had at Bondi, your dad´s name came up which prompted me to look his name up on Google. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My father, Don Sinclair sits here tonight at the age of 91 and tells me he remembers your dad like it was yesterday, which is a testament to the impression and effect your dad had on people around him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of loss.

We will always remember Bev Best as we looked forward to 'Picture Day' every year at Fairhaven Public School and Hilltop Middle School. Bev Best kept us smiling! It was a pleasure to meet his two daughters and his wife at the visitation. My deepest Sympathies. Certainly a life well lived!

I along with many children of the 60's recall his face, at HVVPS from behind the camera, SO many times, pleading with us to help him make us look good! the signature at the bottom of the class picture, he loved every one of us.

This is such an iconic name in the Etobicoke/Kingsway area. How he had the patience for so many children, he must have been a saint. His name has been etched in our photos for our children to ask us if we remembered him taking our photos. Yes we will Boo Boo. Thank you to the Best family for sharing this wonderful man with so many students. I bet dinner time was very interesting, of him telling the stories about the children that stood out that day. I was always the tall one and had to stand in the back until my last year of jr. school, where I asked him if I could sit in the front. Looking back, now I know why. All legs and little body in front.

Bev Best, a name familiar to me from childhood school photos, graciously accepted the invitation to take individual and class photos at PMNS and did so for many years ! His smile and joy of life will be remembered.

Uncle Bev was always in my life. Auntie Rosemary and my mother Bernice Kinal were best friends.

The Best home was always a safe home. We would gather at the cottage and always have a few laughs. Our families were always close and we shared many things. Mike and Bernice will be greeting Uncle Bev . His first words from my Dad will be have you finished the cottage yet!

Love you.
Give me a Yogi Smile
Heaven will have it´s new angel.

My sincerest condolences to Bev´s family on the loss of this wonderful man. We only saw him once a year but the memories he created lasted a lifetime, and still reside in my "life" box, from kindergarten to grade 8.

On behalf of my sister, my brother and my 2 late brothers, all of whom were photographed by the late Bev Best. Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Bev Best. I still have all my school class photos that Mr. Best took during the 60's at Wedgewood PS and Bloorlea Junior High School. He will be very fondly remembered as an amazing photographer who had the patience of a hundred men and always got good results. He seemed to genuinely love all the children he photographed and the quality of his work shone through in every smile. Rest in Peace Mr. Best.

My condolences to the family.
Bev Best was such a great part of my childhood.
Picture day can not be remembered with a "hey boo boo!"

I held him in such high regard, he was the only name that came to mind for my wedding day.

Rest well
