BONNIE LEIGH-BENNETT
After a courageous battle with cancer, Bonnie passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2009 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Daughter to the late Peter and Yvonne Leigh-Bennett. Sister to Stephanie, brother Roderick and his wife Mirjama and to her late sister Dale Ann. Niece to Dorothy and her husband Rick Ottaway. Bonnie was an outstanding artist plus an incredible triathlete. She would be seen running daily on the boardwalk in The Beach with her hair flying in the breeze and a big smile on her face. She will be sadly missed by friends and family. Family and friends may be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road (west of Victoria Park) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to The Salvation Army or towards a memorial bench on the boardwalk in her name.
