BRENDA MATKOWSKY Obituary

MATKOWSKY, BRENDA JEAN December 20, 1958 - February 20, 2022 Brenda, born December 20, 1958, in Scarborough, Ontario, was full of love for her family and life. A wife to Orest, their days were filled with raising their children, spending time with family and friends, travelling the world and enjoying each other's company. Their marriage was one of true friendship, partnership, and love. A mother to Cheryl, Brian and Jennifer, a guiding light, role model and shoulder to lean on, the great love for her children will always be present and felt. A grandmother to Hudson, Emily and Tyler, Brenda delighted in their simple pleasures and moments, encouraging them to always explore and have fun. She shared so much love and laughter with them, a true best friend. A sibling to Carol (Murray), Judy (Ted), Doug, and Kathy (Mike), she cherished the relationships with each of her siblings and memories of their family. A daughter to Shirley and Michael (passed in 2019), who instilled the meaning of love, life lessons and family. A best friend to everyone that knew her. She never asked for much and always gave all that she could with a humble and kind heart. At the end of the day, her happiest place was with her family by her side. Brenda you are loved, you will be missed but you'll never be forgotten. A private family service will take place on behalf of Brenda. We are planning a celebration of life in the Spring. For those who wish, donations may be made to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - Odette Cancer Centre on behalf of Brenda.
