Brian Moffat Obituary

MOFFAT, Brian —

June 8, 1941 - September 15, 2015

Brian Moffat, sailor of the seven seas and amateur second world war historian passed from this good earth on Tuesday, September 15th leaving his friends mystified by the sudden deterioration in his health. Leaving no known family behind, his friends and business colleagues will miss his generosity and never-ending optimism. Brian, without ever being asked, was ever ready to extend a helping hand. His Santa visits on Christmas Day are memories to be cherished by us all. Friends of Brian are invited to Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 12-2 p.m. for a time of gathering. In memory of Brian, donations may be made to SickKids Foundation. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

I believe this is the wonderful man who was Big Brother to my son for over 4 years. Lost touch, but never forgotten.

Brian was a customer at my work. I wish I had known him longer - always polite and with kind words. A true English gentleman to the end. Forever remembered and missed.

My brother Gary & I just found out about this very sad news. Brian was a friend to our father Louis and a very dear friend to Gary.

What a lovely tribute Ray. I'm only sorry Gary & I did not know at the time.

Good night old friend... rest in peace.

Brian, a very good brother-in-law & friend. We will miss you & the fabulous yarns you would spin, never knowing if they were fact or fiction unless you noticed the twinkle in his eyes.
