Broer VRIJ Obituary
VRIJ, Broer Mike - (Longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 442, Erin) Peacefully at Markdale Hospital on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Mike Vrij formerly of Erin, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Lee. Loving father of Keith Vrij (Kathy) of Erin, Darlene Vrij of Markdale, Diane (Danny) MacDonald of Guelph and Cindy Walton of Parry Sound. Predeceased by son Michael Vrij (2001). Cherished grandpa of Christopher, Benjamin, Jonathan, Adam, Colin, Alyssa, Sean, Dana, and Kylee. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters in Holland. Resting at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main Street South, Erin, where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 23 at 3:00 p.m. with Chaplain Roseanne Judge officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. A Legion Memorial Service will be held on Saturday just prior to the Funeral Service. If desired, donations to the Erin Fire Department or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated as an expression of sympathy.

our heart and prayers go out to the family at this time..... Mike and Lee looked after my girls when I went to the hospital to have our little boy, Daryll..... 50 yrs. this July.
However, still remember with fond memories - love your old neighbours from 9th. St. in Lakeview.... Bernadette Mac Phail and family......
