BRONIUS SAPLYS Passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife Prima. Loving father of Linas (Asta), Ramunas (Silvija) and Alvydas (Rima) and proud grandfather of nine. Bronius was very active in the Canadian-Lithuanian community volunteering his time to church activities, scouting and organizations dedicated to securing Lithuania's freedom from the Soviet Union. Most recently he was involved in cultural and education development projects in the Vilnius region. Professionally, Bronius was a construction superintendent throughout Ontario. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2189 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. followed by prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, 1 Resurrection Rd., Etobicoke, on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment St. John's Lithuanian Cemetery.
