BRUCE PENDER Obituary

BRUCE LEE MARTIN PENDER Passed away peacefully at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in his 78th year. Bruce has faced many health challenges in the last few years and fought them with courage and strength and a will to live, but a recent fall took the last bit of fight in him and he let go to God's loving care. He was known for his zest for life, his sharp mind and sense of humour. Always up for something new and made it exciting and fun. Bruce enjoyed cooking and was an avid theatre-goer. He had a presence and a knowledge and wisdom that we will never forget. Bruce was an active and grateful member of AA and he helped change many lives with his positive outlook and sharing of his time and life experiences. Bruce is survived by his sister Willa and predeceased by his brother Norman. Sadly missed by dear friends Wayne, Gil, Maryann and longtime friend and playmate, Lizzi and all his AA family. Bruce will also be missed by his friend and business colleague, Robin. Special thanks to the paramedics and the many nurses and doctors who have assisted Bruce. And the friends who have provided safety and comfort for Bruce to get around and enjoy life in spite of recent limited mobility. At Bruce's request cremation was immediate. Details will follow regarding a celebration of this exceptional life of adventures and experiences. Rest in peace, Bruce. You're loved. LIVE. LOVE. LAUGH - You did it all!
