Dear Eleanor,

Hi Eleanor,
I am very sad to hear that Bruce has passed. Although it's been a while since I've seen him last, it was always nice to run into him here and there over the years as I grew up in the Beach. He always had a moment to stop and say Hi. I like this little quote "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday." Author Unknown. It makes me feel a bit better. Hopefully it does the same for you.

So sorry to hear the news regarding Bruce. He was such a treasure. We had so many laughs to-gether over the Bowling,Casinos,etc. He will be so missed by so many. Love to you Alice

Dear Eleanor:
When I arrived in this great Country, many years ago, Bruce was one of my new team-mates who helped me appreciate what Beach Rugby meant. I will always remember him inviting me home for tea and sanwiches with his Mom. "B+" for rugby skills (sorry, Bruce) and "AAA" for a big heart.

I am so sorry to get this news about Bruce. We've been friends since Balmy Beach School days. I always enjoyed seeing him at The Club at various events over the years, and will surely miss his ever present grin. We're unable to attend the service on Friday. My heart goes out to you, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry Eleanor. Bruce will be deeply missed but I will always have such found memories of him. I loved my time bowling with him, fishing with him and, most especially playing euchre. I was always happy to have him as a partner in cards but you were luckier to have him as a partner in life. Love, Cam

Eleanor - words can not describle my feelings on hearing of the passing of my long time friend Brucie. I have known Bruce all my life and we had a special bond - imagine it all started over "Hot Dogs".
We had a great friendship and I have many fond memories growing up at 21 Selwood with Bruce popping by for many a visit on a Friday or Saturday and of course, before Saturday morning bowling. Those were great days and wonderful memories that I will always cherish of my dear friend.
I have many butterfly momentos that will always remind me of Bruce.

It is with great sorrow and sadness to hear of the passing of our very long time friend Bruce.
He was for so many years like one of our family sharing birthdays and special times with us, our growing up years as we like to refer to them.
Best times were Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons sitting on the veranda solving the problems of the world or better still, LAWNBOWLING.
He was one of the unique friends among a very special group of visitors to 21 Selwood and it was our family's priviledge to call him friend, he will be greatly missed by us and all who had the good fortune to know him.
Our heartfelt condolences to Eleanor and family.

It is a sad day today. We have lost a dear friend. Bruce was part of my childhood growing up on Beech Avenue and Bruce on Willow. I have fond memories of those days . My condolences to Ellie and the family. We will miss Bruce.
