CASWELL RUMBALL Obituary
RUMBALL, CASWELL JOHN Passed away on August 31, 2017 at the age of 93, residing at Sunrise of Unionville, Ontario. He was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 6, 1924 to the late Caswell John and Charlotte Eva Rumball. John graduated from University of Toronto. He received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1945 and in 1949 a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. He married Ethel Frances Cummings on July 10, 1950. John practiced as a Pharmacist in Toronto, owning 5 community pharmacies. He was a member of MTPA, OPA, Rho Pi Phi, served on the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation Board and was a director of CANMAP, a Canadian Medicine Aid Program. He was a recipient of the prestigious Bowl of Hygeia award for outstanding community service in Pharmacy. His interests included aviation, scuba diving, travel, jewellery making, skiing, springboard diving and toastmasters. He is survived by his children Judy (Craig), Elizabeth (Doug), John (Debbie) and Heather (Ashley); grandchildren James (Flavia), Eric (Glaucia), Michael and Lauren; great-grandchildren Livia and Leo. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living for their excellent and compassionate care of our father over the past 5 years. Visitation will be held at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, on Monday, September 4th from 5-9 p.m. Private interment to follow.
