AMODEO, Catherine Lucille (nee Palumbo) —
December 12, 1921 - December 11, 2016
Passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Health, Richmond Hill, Ontario, from complications of her heart, one day shy of her 95th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Michael Amodeo. Much loved mother to Joe (Anna Marie), Ann (predeceased) and Frank. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Cathy), Steven (Kristine), Anthony (Kim) and Michael (Katrina). Great-grandmother to Tyson, Ryder, Hunter and Keira. Catherine loved and was loved dearly by all, and we will forever hold her in our hearts. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the Four Elms Retirement Home as well as all the compassionate staff from Mackenzie Health, with a very special thanks to Qunyu Li, nurse practitioner. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15th and at ST. LUKE'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 39 Green Lane, Thornhill from 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 16th followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Food for Children or a charity close to her heart, the Learning Disabilities Association of York Region.
