CATHERINE HUNT Obituary

CATHERINE (CATHY) MAY HUNT (nee BANKS) January 25, 1939 - April 3, 2014 It is with incredibly great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine (Cathy) May Hunt (nee Banks). Cathy passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of William (Bill) Hunt. Dear mother of Jimmy, Wendy (Joel), Heather, Jeffrey (Marjorie), Terrence (Karen) and Morris (Lisa). Loving grandmother to Billy, Alissa, Hayden, Spencer, Mitchell, Celina, Kurt and Bradley. Devoted sister of Bonnie (Craig), Donald (Peggy), Chuck (Liz) and Ian (Rita). The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the extended family and friends who supported us through this difficult time. We would also like to thank both the hospital staff at the Oshawa General Hospital Support Unit and Dr. Kalnins and staff for their incredible care. Cathy lived her life to the fullest, always happy, always smiling and had the most incredible giggle that made everyone smile. Her love for her family and friends was like no other. She will be greatly missed. God has a new angel and we know she will be watching over us. Our memories will never fade. She was so deeply loved and will be in our hearts forever. As per Cathy's wishes, we will be sharing memories at a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, May 31st, at the home of Jeff and Marjorie Hunt at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cathy's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. "If love could find a way to heaven and memories turned into steps, we would climb them and bring you back." Rest in paradise

Dear Bill and family. John and I are so sorry over the loss of Cathy. We so looked forward to seeing her each summer. She taught me about the importance of being a leader in her Family- she did and would have done, anything for her children and grandchildren with passion, joy and so much love. She will always be with us.

Dear Heather, So sorry to hear about your mother. Even though I didn't know her, if she was half as funny and caring as you, she must have been a wonderful person who will forever watch over you and be present in spirit always.

Heather and family,
I was saddened to hear about the loss of your mom. I hope you will find comfort knowing that her spirit has been freed from the pain and restrictions of the physical form we call the body. She is in God's realm of unconditional love, joy and beauty. I hope that you will find comfort in fond memories of times shared together, and in the love that was exchanged over the years.

Our heartfelt condolences to Bill and family.
For nearly thirty years we have been honoured to call Cathy Hunt our friend. Those years were filled with great celebrations of weddings, showers, barbecues, rummoli games, birthday parties, traditional after Christmas dinners and many many nights of fun and laughter. We always felt so lucky to be a part of Cathy's life. There will be a huge void in our lives but we will try to fill it with fond memories and endless stories of this wonderful friend.
Rest in peace Cathy.
All our love
