15 years ago, I had the privilege of volunteering for the Newmarket Hurricanes, under the guidance of Charlie. What a wonderful leader and great motivator.
Rest In Peace my friend.

Sad to hear this news, but thankful for Charlie's tireless years of work to enable the OHA/OPJHL to grow and thrive in York Region. New teams were born and followed Charlie's model to provide opportunity to hundreds of promising young hockey players over the past 30 or so years. So many lives touched in a positive way through scholarships and personal growth. Thanks for your commitment to helping so many others.

I knew Charlie from his days as Area Manager at RBC, 33 City Centre, Mississauga. Working with him was a pleasure, we worked hard but also had fun. My condolences to the family.

Charlie made coming in to work a joy. His genuine warmth, his infectious laughter, enthusiasm, and strong leadership skills, were evident to all who came in contact with him. My condolences to Jeff, Jamie, Michael and their families and Marjorie. RBC was his 2nd family and weren't we all so very lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing him. God Bless you Charlie. Hope there is a rink in heaven.

We were so sad to hear of Charlie's passing as he was a great friend to my dad, John Collins, while they were both at Manor Village and I got to know what a sweet gentleman he was. The last time we talked he held my hand and expressed kind words to me regarding my dad's illness and departure from Manor Village. My family will always remember the friendship that these 2 men shared in their later years and brought each other some joy in their reminiscences, some chuckles and camaraderie. We are so very sorry for you loss.
