So sorry for your loss. I worked in Toronto with Ted for a short time but during which we shared many cycling stories. He was a great mentor and fun guy. I will miss knowing he is know longer there to reach out to. RIP Ted

I knew Ted for about a year during the 1980's as a fellow policy analyst in the Ministry of Community and Social Services. We worked in a team context. Ted pursued the truth with integrity, intelligence, and a wry sense of humour, a public servant always committed to the greater good. My thoughts are with Kate and the children he held so dear. Ted will be missed by many.

It's been decades since I've seen Ted, but I've thought of him often and never forgotten his strong, quiet, intellectual demeanor; not necessarily your "typical" motorcyclist.

Ted was a non-conformist who knew exactly when and where it was more appropriate to fit in than to stand apart. He did both with the ease and grace of a true renaissance man. My heart aches for his loved ones, as I know he will be sorely missed by many.

I'll have your free spirit with me on the Yamaha, Teddy!

My thoughts are with Kate, Russell, Erin and Kerry, such a sad time. I worked with Ted - he was a wonderful colleague. A gentle man, humble, gracious, kind, thoughtful and articulate. A true public servant, he served the people of Ontario well. Above all else, Ted loved his family, he glowed when he spoke of Kate, and he was so very proud of his children. I know he will be greatly missed, but he will be remembered for the beautiful soul that he was.

Ted was a careful, honest and earnest public servant who spent years developing better policies for special needs children. I recall a particular occasion in the 1980's when Ted and I traveled to Hamilton to address a committee of Hamilton city council.I recall that among his many talents, he was a gifted public speaker. He will be missed by all.
