I was a grade 12 kid who had been kicked out of home by a bachelor brother with whom I had been living along with my mother who was visiting her daughter in the U.S. I had my mother's car in her absence and one winter morning at Thornhill High I accidentally backed into Mr . Seith's car in the parking lot. Charlie was not in the least upset by what I had done and showed real empathy for what I was going through. Never will I forget his act of kindness.
Charlie was a great coach and teacher. I still remember the day in Health class when he taught the meaning of "inhibition" in the context of alcohol education. And, although I had never played basketball he gave me a chance on the floor during a Friday night game if only for a few seconds. I was never so relieved when returning to the bench. Thanks, COACH!

My thoughts are with the family at this difficult time. I was fortunate enough to have Charlie as my principal when I was a young teacher. He was a man of integrity who cared deeply for his staff and students. His wit and charm made him endearing to all. I have very fond memories of this very fine man.

Charlie Seath was a great humanitarian, a wonderful teacher and friend. I was so fortunate to have him as my teacher. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Charley was my grade 12 Phys Ed teacher in 1957 or 1958.He showed me great understanding and support at a time when things were not going so well for me. I have never forgotten his kindness! His was a life well lived.

Our sympathies are extended to the Seath family at this time. Charlie was the master teacher of the principles of life. He taught me what dedication, commitment, organization and most important what the value of the family is. These lessons have allowed many of us who Charlie taught and then became a friend to become successful in our lives. His legacy will live on as I know that my children know who he is and what he taught me has been handed on to them and I hope to their children.
