Clinton Bomphray Obituary

CLINTON RANDALL BOMPHRAY Clint slipped peacefully away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at home with his loving wife Sue and sister Karen holding his hands. He is also survived by mother Edith, sister Shelley and brother Keith in Regina, sister- in-law Jennie and mother-in-law Pearl in England and Aunt Celia and family in Toronto area, California and British Columbia. His kindness, positive attitude and wry sense of humour will be sorely missed by many people. We would like to thank all our wonderful friends for their support and the CCAC Palliative Care Team who helped us immensely in the last few difficult weeks. As was Clint's wish, he will be cremated as simply as possible with a celebration of his life in the weeks to come. Should anyone care to make a donation in his name in lieu of flowers, a deserving recipient would be Toronto Central, Community Care, Access Centre, Palliative Team, 250 Dundas St. W., Suite 305, Toronto, M5T 2Z5.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Clint's passing. We go back so many years...toi Regina, then being neighbours on Selby Street in Toronto. As happens in life, we lost touch over the years, but on the rare occasion we bumped into each other, he always mentioned you, Sue. I am sorry for the loss you and the Bomphrays are feeling. Dear Bomphery family:
I am very sorry to hear about Clint's death. We were good friends while attending Connaught School together. Since then I have lost touch with him. I have a grade 8 class photo showing him and fellow students back then. Should you not have a copy and desire one, please contact me. I'm in the Regina phone book.

Dear Sue and dear Karen, and all his loved ones, I have just received the news about Clint and am flooded both with sorrow and fine memories of his warmth and gentleness and good friendship going back to Regina days and the Beta Apartments when we were all students together. He was remarkable for his sensitivity, his ongoing wonder at the world, and his fine mind. Now there's the entire journey of his last months recounted by Sue, most wonderful partner, to treasure and to return to for its spirit and wisdom. Norma Lundberg (Toronto)
