COLIN PURDEN WRIGHT February 14, 1941 - April 5, 2017 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passage of Colin Purden Wright of Oakville on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the age of just 76. Colin was a beloved husband, father, father- in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many. He is survived by his lifelong and loving wife, Maureen Gail; his three loving children: David, Scott and Janice; his daughter and son-in-law Maureen and Brian; and six adoring grandchildren: Katelyn, Kayley, Jenny, Emily, Matthew and Julia. Colin heralds from Winnipeg, Manitoba, where for many years he held the position of Vice President in charge of New Issues for the securities division of Richardson Greenshields of Canada. He subsequently made his home in Oakville in 1987, where he continued in the same position for RBC Dominion Securities. During his many years in the financial industry, he had a reputation for integrity, honesty and fairness. After retirement, his passion was to spend his summers at the cottage on Gibi Lake, near Kenora, Ontario. His many friends will remember his humour, warm and welcoming smile and a willingness to unconditionally help those around him. He will also be remembered for his tireless devotion and seemingly endless patience these latter years caring for his ailing wife, Maureen Gail. All those who had the privilege of knowing him will miss him deeply. The family warmly welcomes all of Colin's friends and extended family to attend a memorial service and reception at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd.
