So sad to have read of Colum's passing. I wondered over the years how his life was, and was quite happy to hear that he married and lived such a full life. RIP

It's with great sadness that I learned over the weekend of Colum's passing. He was a very special friend to me and to my family beginning in 1959 when he arrived at Neil Mc Neil High School. I remember well his great patience in teaching me all of the Latin responses so that I could become an altar server for all of the priests in the early days of the school.
Over the years, he remained a special friend to our family and was very much present in our lives when we endured tragedy and death. His kindness, support and comfort meant so much as he lead the funeral masses over the years for my younger brother in 1960 and many years later, for my father and mother. It was always a special treat to see him again at the McNeil alumni gatherings and at the Spiritan anniversaries.
To know that he is no longer present among us is truly sad and is a great loss but we can take great comfort in knowing that he touched the lives of so many thousands and made them better. We are all richer for having known him.
With deepest sympathy,
Bill Boyle

My sympathies to Colum's family at this time. As a teacher, priest and soccer coach, he demonstrated his faith, patience and passion to the students at Newman. He helped to instill a sense of community which many of us carry with us to this day. He will be missed but his spirit will live on.

so very saddened to have heard of our past priest, Father Colum, at Mass this morning at St. Joseph's in Highland Creek. Colum Corrigan was a wonderful man, and was warmly loved by us. Eternal rest grant unto him, Oh Lord.

Dear Donna & the Corrigan Family: Our sincere condolences & deepest sympathy on the loss of Colum. Our lives intertwined over the years after we met teaching at Neil McNeil HS. Sadly we have not seen one another for a long time. Colum was a beautiful, honest, hard working, kind human being ... a "Gentle Man" in the true sense of the word. May he rest in Peace & may God's "Amazing Grace" be with you all during the difficult days ahead! Love, Hugs & Blessings.
Paul R Wharton (former Teacher @ Neil McNeil HS & former Asst. Director of Education (MSSB a/o Toronto Catholic School Board).

I had the wonderful opportunity to have Colum as our religion teacher and resident priest at Cardinal Newman way back in the 70's. His tolerance and encouragement on our ideas on worship were revolutionary and fresh for that time and inspired us to want to worship more fully. May he rest in peace knowing he made a difference.
