LAMBROPOULOS, CONSTANTINE GEORGE It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Constantine (a.k.a. Costas) George Lambropoulos, of Toronto, Ontario. He died at the age of 91, on August 30, 2022. After graduating from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Constantine immigrated to Canada with his wife and their first-born daughter and began teaching Latin and History at Walkerton District Secondary School. In 1975, he and his family moved to Toronto, where Constantine introduced Modern Greek as a subject of study to the Toronto District School Board, and where he taught Modern Greek at Riverdale Collegiate Institute and at Eastern High School of Commerce for several years. Throughout his teaching career, Constantine devoted himself to educating his students and himself, and to bridging the gap between Canada and Greece. He organized school trips to his homeland, and in the early 1970's was presented with an award by the Ministry of Greek Cultural Affairs in recognition of his achievements. After his retirement, Constantine purchased a travel agency where he and his wife continued organizing groups to Greece and to other countries of interest. In his spare time, Constantine enjoyed reading books and writing, and was a very active participant in the Greek Community of Toronto. He also served as president (and later as secretary, and honorary president), of the Panarcadian Federation of Canada for several years, during which time his entrepreneurial spirit led to the development of the Arcadian Village in Arcadia, Greece. Constantine is survived by his wife, Chrisoula (Soula); his daughter, Georgia (son-in-law Aivars, granddaughter Keats); his daughter, Cathy (son-in-law Dean), and his son Alex (daughter-in-law Karen). A private service will be held. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Greek Community of Toronto at:
