Corrado Codarini Obituary

CORRADO (CONNIE) CODARINI 1930 - 2010 On April 28, 2010 in Concord, North Carolina, at the age of 80. He will be sadly missed by his dear wife Penny in North Carolina, son David Comden (Tina) and grandsons Taylor and Marshall and daughter Denise Wooten in California. He is fondly remembered by his Toronto family: his sister Rev. Sr. Mary Michael CSJ (Esther Codarini) and nieces Carol Hodson (Harry) and Joan O'Keefe (Mike) and their families. He is predeceased by his parents Tarsilla and Giuseppe (Joe) Codarini and his brothers Frank (Mary) and Harry. A student at St Michael's Choir School in the '40's, Connie was an original member of the Four Lads, the much-acclaimed singing group, inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1984. They have several gold records to their credit. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Convent Chapel, Morrow Park, 3377 Bayview Ave. Memorial donations may be made to Doctors without Borders or a charity of your choice.

My most precious Moment to Remember from 1955, was when the fans at the Chicago Theater Stage Door bought water pistols from Walgreens and gave them to the Lads on the way out of the Tribune Tower, back to the theater.
By the time we all got back to the theater, everybody was joining in, and the fans and the Lads had a rip-roaring water duel lasting about 45 minutes, till they had to go in for the next show.

My wife Pat,and I attended The Beautiful Memorial Mass, to-day, July 17th for Connie at St. Joseph's Convent. I attended St. Clare's School with Connie and we met some old friends from there to-day. May he rest in Peace. Bill Poole

Beautiful memories of The Four Lads. He was my idol. Oh so handsome and beautiful deep voice. Still have autographed picture of the group.
