Craig Scanlon Obituary

SCANLON, Craig - After a short battle with cancer, Craig passed into God's care on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the age of 61. Craig was the son of Jessie Shepherd and Gordon Scanlon and loving father of Jessica and Kimberly Scanlon. Craig will be dearly missed by his life partner Cathy Arbour and also by Lori Scanlon. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. and also on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., with a service following in the chapel at The Simple Alternative Funeral C entre, 1057 Brock Road in Pickering, 905-686-5589. The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for all the care and support they provided to Craig in the past few months. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Lakeridge Health Oncology Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Dear Cathy

I am sad to hear of Craig's passing. Craig and I were married for 12 years and I will always remember Craig's sense of humour and his zest for life.

He is now with his mother and father both of whom I loved dearly. Craig inherited his mother's sense of humour. She always kept us laughing. I believe they are now laughing together.

My sister Donna Gillespie, his god son John Gillespie and I are very sorry that he is gone.
