Daniel HENNIG Obituary

HENNIG, Daniel "Dan" Herman - Born on July 26, 1928 in Kryniczka (Volhynia), Ukraine, passed away at Brampton Civic Hospital on September 27, 2015. Dan was known for his stringed instruments in many parts of Southern and Central Ontario. He is survived by his loving wife (and treasure) of 63 years, Herta, his two sons Rev. Norman Hennig-Pereira and Robert Hennig, their spouses Clifford Hennig-Pereira and Shelagh Tyreman, his grandchildren Emma Hennig, Suzyn and Skylyr Hennig- Pereira and his nieces and nephew, Ella, Petra and Armin. He is predeceased by his brothers Edmund, Albert and Rheinhold. A memorial service will be held at St. John's United Church in Georgetown (11 Guelph Street) on Saturday, October 3rd at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Headwaters Concert Choir; please make a note on the cheque "for the Dan Hennig orchestra project". This is a fund that will support youth and mentors to further string music in the community. Donations for the Concert Choir can also be mailed to 25 Inder Heights Dr., Brampton, ON L6Z 3M8. Arrangements entrusted to the Greg Roberts Funeral Home, Mildmay.
