DARLEAN JOYCE MORRIS Darlean Joyce Morris, who longed to live and explore her creative art and her loving relationships, died April 3, 2014, age 67. Darlean was a former art teacher, department head, administrator and, since retirement in 2001, a full time professional artist. Please visit her website at
www.DarleanMorris.com to see her art and accomplishments. While passionately wishing for more, she came to accept leaving life and died peacefully after ten days at Sakura House hospice. Her strong, creative, sparkling, compassionate and loving spirit will always be greatly missed. Her husband for 18 years, Gary Austin and her large family share her loss including Darlean's brothers, Harry Morris, Dennis Morris, Robert Morris and sister, Sandra Strauss. Darlean was a wonderful aunt to their children, Chere Di Boscio, Jennifer Morozowich, Stephen Morris, Justin Morris, Laura Morris, Matthew Morris, Jessica Morris, Janine Morris, Karen Morris, Sarah Morris, Michelle Morris, Ryan Strauss, Rebecca Strauss, Gavin Strauss and great-aunt to Stephen's Jackson and Benjamin. Her cousins, especially Gale, and other extended family members also feel her loss. Darlean will be missed by her many friends in St. Marys, Toronto, London, New York and elsewhere. She was predeceased by her infant son Ian and her former husband, Walter Dzuryk. A tribute/memorial to Darlean will be held in May to be announced later.
