I worked with Darlene at the Star but we really didn't know each other.
However she came to my partner's funeral visitation in 2006. She was the very first person to arrive, I will never forget that.
So why did she care about my grief? It's because she deeply understood it.
Wish I had known her better. Cheers to her character and beauty.

A really GOOD person. Sadness of the news was thankfully replaced by fond memories. She was warm and sincere with a good sense of humour. A kid at heart in many ways. Keep the angels entertained, Dar! "Nyuk, nyuk..."

Darlene and I met at the Star and remained friends thru the years.
Darlene hosted my baby shower for my first born son and she was truly one of the kindest and funny souls I have ever known.
Over the years we drifted apart but would connect and take up where we had left off.
Sleep well my friend.
