When I was growing up I always watched the AFC Football Teams and my favorite football team was the Oakland Raiders. Daryle Lamonica was a great quarterback and he was great throwing the long passes. May he rest in peace. I am a sports fan from Massachusetts.

Daryle was my father's hunting partner, and friend for nearly 50 years. He was visiting our house one day, in the early 70's, Daryle threw me a long pass, in front of my brother's and our friends. It was a dream come true for me. My heart goes out to Mary, and the family. Daryle will live on in our hearts forever!

Daryle spoke at our 1977 Palmer High School football banquet. We were both honored and somewhat surprised to have a real NFL star at our banquet!! He was very gracious and took time to speak with those of us that approached him afterwards. Coincidentally, we had moved to Alaska from Fremont, California just three years earlier. I had seen the Raiders with Daryle at QB many times, but it took moving to Alaska to finally meet him! Prayers for God´s comfort to his family; he was a goid man.

So saddened to hear about Daryle's passing. He was my favorite football player as a youth. In recent years, I enjoyed listening to interviews with Daryle where he talked about his team first attitude. He will be greatly missed.

There was only one professional athlete or entertainer I always wanted to meet and get an autograph from. It was Daryle Lamonica. By sheer luck, I met him in Las Vegas in 2019. He was a childhood idol. RIP Daryle

Judy: He was such a fun doubles partner. I will never forget the match Daryle and I played against you...even though you won.

Rest in Peace to a fine QB of the Silver and Black, at least you played in a Super Bowl, at a young Super Bowl try against The Pack, Number 3, will always be remembered.

I knew daryle as a customer at the barbershop I cut hair at in alameda south shore. I remember him as being courteous to other customers while his visits there. I cut his hair prior to him and Bart Starr who were on the tonite show later that day. Sad to here the news about his passing. RIP.

Some of my earliest Raider memories are of Daryle at QB. A great character in Oakland Raider and AFL/NFL history, and his nickname and confident persona fit perfectly with the maverick team and the wide-open iconoclastic American Football League. The Raiders loved that '60s "vertical passing game," and Daryle's tremendous arm coupled with speedy receivers produced exciting action and great success.

Rest in peace, Daryle. Our memories will always be fond, of the great #3 in Silver and Black. The one and only "Mad Bomber!"
